Warriors Fore Freedom to Host Pro-Am Golf Tournament to Benefit Military Families in Crisis

This September, Warriors Fore Freedom, a non-profit organization based in both Kentucky and Indiana, will host their annual Pro-Am golf tournament to raise funds to benefit fallen and wounded veterans and their families.

Jeffersonville, IN – August 17, 2016 – This September, Warriors Fore Freedom, a non-profit organization based in both Kentucky and Indiana, will host their annual Pro-Am golf tournament to raise funds to benefit fallen and wounded veterans and their families.

The Warriors Fore Freedom Pro-Am golf tournament will take place on Friday, September 23, 2016 at Elk Run Golf Club in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Open to the public and club members alike, the tournament will be a shamble format with 5 person teams (4 amateurs and 1 PGA professional.) On-site registration will begin at 11:00 am, followed by a shotgun start at 1:00 pm. A catered dinner and award ceremony will begin at 6:00 pm, featuring an inspirational presentation by Major Ed Pulido, U.S. Army (Ret.), a combat injured veteran, philanthropist and author of “Warrior for Freedom: Challenge, Triumph and Change, the Major Ed Pulido Story.”

The entry fee for a single player costs $250; each registration includes golf with a PGA professional, catered steak dinner for the registrant and 1 guest, on-course drinks, and $100 to spend in the TaylorMade/Adidas mobile pro shop.

The Warriors Fore Freedom golf tournament is held in honor of the memory of the life and accomplishments of Major Robert Hacker, a Kentucky National Guardsman who died from injuries he sustained while on active duty in Ecuador in 1998. USA Cares has been named one of the beneficiaries of the tournament, with proceeds going towards USA Cares’ veteran and military family assistance programs.
