Lights for the Troops ...
Two teenagers from Byers, Colorado want to help make a difference in the lives of other Military families across the nation. Their lives were changed when their dad, who had returned to Colorado from Iraq to be by the side of their mom, who had suffered a heart attack. Their dad fell ill and nearly died from wounds received during an IED attack on his convoy.
Dad and Mom are now doing better, and Rebecka and Cally asked how they might help other families; the way so many others, including USA Cares, had done for them. ( Read more... )
The Challenge
Their challenge asks all Americans to count the number of light bulbs in your house or residence and then, send one dollar for each light, to USA Cares, Inc.
