Financial assistance may be available for qualifying OIF/OEF for expenses that include, but are not limited to travel to/from interviews, specialized tools, uniforms and relocation. All financial assistance is granted on a case-by-case basis and may be limited based on availability of funds.

Apply to the Chicago Electrican Apprentice Program:
Chicagoland post-9/11 veterans interested in getting electrican apprentice training that is guaranteed to lead to a job, have until January 19, 2012 to apply. The 7 week, electrician’s “boot camp‟ is being offered in a partnership we have with the Illinois chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors.

The training program is slated to replicate throughout the country in 2012 when 1,000 post-9/11 veterans will be trained and hired! Trainees will receive pay raises as they achieve each certification during the program.
