Current Fund Raising Projects:
• Share a Minute - A year-long tour in Iraq or Afghanistan lasts 525,000 minutes. One minute. One life. Now is the time to make a difference. Please help us help them.
• I Care Fridays - The purpose of this campaign is to get a representative T-shirt for every servicemember in Iraq and Afghanistan (that is 165,000 Americans and T-shirts!) to show our troops just how much we do care and support them.

• USA Cares Louisville Slugger Baseball Bat - Here is a great way to support our Troops by purchasing a USA Cares Louisville Slugger bat. The bat is a 34” full size adult bat with a red handle and a blue barrel. The Louisville Slugger oval, USA Cares’ logo, and engraved text are in white. The Bat was created in part with Operation Slugger II and effort to help our men and women in Afghanistan and Iraq have a little recreation. Hillerich & Bradsby Co. will be donating $10.00 for every bat sold to support the mission of USA Cares and help military families with quality issues of life and help support the troops.
(special note: This bat will take 3 weeks for delivery – sorry, no rush orders will be taken)

Fund Raising Ideas YOU can USE:
• Lights for the Troops - Count all the light bulbs in your home, schools, malls, and/or businesses and send one dollar for each light bulb.
• Liberty Lemonade - Individuals set up a lemonade stand to raise funds for USA Cares; possible locations include golf courses, front yards, during garage sales and other community functions.
• Jeans Day - Organizations, schools and businesses off the opportunity to wear blue jeans on Fridays to those employees who pay $1.00.
• Veteran Tree - In December and/or July, solicit donations for the Veteran Tree, in honor or memory of a Veteran. An ornament will be placed in their honor and displayed in a prominent area such as a school, Chamber of Commerce, or Community Center. A tree lighting event would take place as a celebratory closing to the fundraiser.
• Garage Sales - Hold multi-family or community yard sale and designate proceeds to USA Cares.
• Patriot Rock Sales - A youngster recently came into USA Cares with a wonderful donation and an idea so creative it touched everyone's heart. She took rocks from her driveway, painted them red, white and blue and sold them on the sidewalk for $0.10 apiece. She and her friend collected $47.00!
