We directly pay the landlord or mortgage lender when bills are past due and caused by a military service-related incident such as a prolonged reduction in pay for Reservists or Guardsmen, or extended delay in compensation by the VA to injured vets.
Preventing Foreclosures and Evictions
USA Cares Housing Assistance program has saved 1,500 military families from facing either foreclosure or eviction from their homes. The program became a reality after a $1.2 million grant was awarded to USA Cares from the Homeownership Preservation Foundation in 2005.
USA Cares Housing Assistance Program Action Stats:
- 5,000 military families saved from foreclosure or eviction
- More than 6,000 children saved from homelessness
